It's Thursday tomorrow, I cannot wait for the weekend!
For this post I really wanted to share a few screenshots from a Japanese mini-series I'm watching called "
Pan to Supu to Neko Biyori" (Bread and Soup and Cat Weather). Not expecting much, I decided to download this series as a way to practise my Japanese listening skills and it ended up being an absolute visual feast for me! Nope, it's not the storyline, fancy graphics nor the actors (though the cast were exceptional) that caught my attention, but the simple aesthetics and colour scheme of the protagonist's apartment, her meal arrangements, the lighting and the way they capture the everyday surroundings of Japanese life such as the narrow alleyways, rooftops of crowded houses and neighbourhood shops that really stood out. It evokes\d so much nostalgia of my year in Japan and made me want to move out and decorate my apartment just like this one! Such a shame that there are only four episodes. Finally found a drama to watch that does not involve car crashes, memory loss, revenge, typical love-triangles, talking animals... the list goes on (I'm super picky with the movies/dramas I decide to continue to watch).
This drama is about a woman who decides to leave her job to continue the sandwich shop that her late mother left behind.
Anyway, enjoy! :)
I really like how they show photos while the end credits are running, including the music!
It looks like a photo pulled out from a Muji catalogue or Kinfolk magazine, doesn't it?
