haru [하루] : "day"

Hello there!

My name is Hanna and welcome to my photo blog.

Here I attempt to capture my day-to-day life in its fleeting moments, hence the blog title my "haru" which directly translates to my "day" in Korean.

Born and raised in Sydney, I moved to London in mid-April 2014 and I hope to share my experiences of life in London and travels around Europe on this blog.
You can browse by my travel locations by clicking on 'Destinations' listed on the right side of this page.
There's also a link to 'Life in London' if you want to see what I get up to in this buzzing and lively city!

I'm an avid user of film and have several cameras in my collection, though my go-to one is the trusty Fujifilm Natura Classica. For digital I use the Fujifilm X100S, another great versatile camera.
All photos are by me unless otherwise stated.

You can also follow me on my Instagram here to see the photos I take on the go.

If you have any questions or comments, I would love to here from you at myharublog[at]gmail[dot]com.

And now some quotes that inspired and encouraged me to take the plunge and move to London:

We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths. - Walt Disney
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. - Mark Twain
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. - Mark Twain
So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more dangerous to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun. - Jon Krakauer, Into the Wild
There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure - 'The Alchemist', Paul Coelho
