(W-35, Pt 2) 48 hours in London with fatty continued

(See Part 1 here)

Sunday morning

Popped by the Princess May Rd Carboot Sale. Denim dress for £2 anyone?

We caught the bus down to Shoreditch to visit a cat cafe, London Cat Village!
This is Oli the cat. He decided to make himself comfortable on my lap. So cute!

Oli the cat is also the mischievous one. Here he is trying to get a bite for himself.

Why so grumpy? This cat was so funny.
It did not want to partake in any of this human and cat nonsense and instead was looking out the cafe window the whole time.

I want a cat now.

Saturday afternoon

After our session was over, we walked towards Brick Lane Market and stumbled across
impressive street art.

Don't be fooled. We ate again. This time at Brick Lane Market.
We shared a Bahn mi, portion of Mother clucker fried chicken and a margarita pizza :)

Mirror selfies in Shoreditch!

Next stop: Columbia Road Flower Market

And that's it folks!

We caught the bus back home to pick up Anna's luggage :(

Until next time!

A coffee break at a fancy cafe I've always walked past before. It was really pretty.

Thought of the day: Risks are worth taking when you trust your gut feeling/instinct, when you know it's right.

J&A Cafe (Summer 2014) & New Years 2015

It's the year 2015!!!
Hope you all enjoyed NY celebrations. I was at the Brandenburg Gates in Berlin and waited 4 hours standing to watch the midnight fireworks. Almost gave up but we pulled through! It was memorable nonetheless, especially with the Hoff performing on stage.

I have a backlog of all my Euro trip photos, including Amsterdam, Prague, Madrid, Barcelona, Cologne, Bruges, Berlin and Rome! In fact, the photos of J&A cafe are from summer when I went on a nice loner trip around Clerkenwell to enjoy a cup of coffee.
They'll be in the form of photo diaries but I'll also post up photos of things I got up to in London in between. I need to really allocate a day to sort out all my photos and organise everything! I'm off to a Cambridge tomorrow for a day trip so perhaps on Sunday?

In other news, I booked a trip to Geneva, Switzerland, for a snow trip next month!!! SO SO SO EXCITED. Last time I went snowboarding was in 2010 in Japan!!! It has been way too long.
It's the one thing I'm looking forward to during the cold winter days in London. Good times!

Monmouth on film

I wish I could spend my days at a coffee shop, working on something photography-related.

The sun is out in London after consecutive days of gloomy grey skies. My mum was amazed that there was sunshine streaming into my room this morning. Perfect for her because she decided to explore London on her own instead of joining a Korean-speaking group tour. For a middle-aged Korean woman she is quite independent. She says she prefers to walk and explore alone. I most definitely get it from her!

Granger & Co - Notting Hill

Granger & Co is the London branch of Sydney Bill's. I've been to both in Notting Hill and Clerkenwell and, let me tell you, the food is consistently divine and I would say better than Bill's in Sydney.
Have a light dinner the night before, go here for brunch the next day and order the full Aussie breakfast and the ricotta hot cakes (the best fluffy hot cakes ever) for "dessert". You will not regret it!

I want to go again. Actually, when my mum is in London I'll take her here when we go to Notting Hill. So excited! Can't believe I'm going to see her tomorrow!
She'll be in London for ten days and then we're going to go on a mummy & daughter trip to Paris for the last four days. Taking a week off work next week to be her tourist guide :)

Golden Half fun in London

I purchased a Golden Half camera a few months ago and this is the first test roll of random scenes around London. It's a fun little camera, plus you get double the images for the price of one roll. I developed six more rolls from other film cameras and it cost me £70! Ridiculously expensive. As a result, I used my digital X100S camera during my trip to Prague, Amsterdam, Madrid and Barcelona. Posts from my trip to be up soon, as well as the film photos!

My mum is visiting during mid-October where I will show her around London and also plan a trip to Edinburgh and Paris. In November, I will be in Bruges and then I have my Christmas and New Years trip to plan. I'm thinking Vienna, Swiss Alps, Budapest or Berlin with a snowboarding trip.
It's full steam ahead for my plan to travel once a month.
