Seven Sisters, UK

This was my last weekend trip with my roomies in the UK. Sadface.
A stunning place for a hike along the cliffs.

Las Vegas from dawn to dusk

We were in Las Vegas for Christmas 2015!
The place is overwhelming with all the lights and people. My whole US trip felt like a movie set tour.

Things we did at Las Vegas:

- Stayed at Bellagio
- Bellagio and Caesar Palace
- Gordon Ramsay's Burgr
- Bellagio Buffet (we waited 2 hours on Christmas Day...)
- Bellagio Fountain show
- Gambled USD20: I lost all of it, RH won $20!

There's a folder filled with my mobile photos from this trip which I haven't gone around to filtering. Another reason why I prefer to take film photos - I tend to take a photos like a madman with digital, ending up with a daunting amount of photos to go through. Whereas with film I am limited and only press on the shutter button when I'm certain I want to record it.

Cali palm trees

Iconic Cali palm trees

Half-way through February 2016 now.
Not long to go.

At this point, I stand at the fork in the road.
One thing I've gained from moving to London is confidence in my gut decision. For so many years moving to London was on the back of my mind and I knew I had to do it. Why? Because the inevitably of regretting not moving to London was tangible. Also, I was sick of just thinking about it! I had to do something about it. Yes, I never want to feel that feeling of anxiety again, but looking back you need to feel that - it means you're doing something uncomfortable and out of your comfort zone! As long as you plan and research as much as you can, let it pan out and, in the end, whatever happens, happens for a reason! At least, that's the mindset I try to adopt.

So now, the question is related to my career path.
This field is what I've been thinking about what seems like forever.

Lack of confidence and societal expectations, once again, held me back from pursuing it.
Also, it's the same categories of fear I had about London.
It's the same 'what if' questions I had before moving to London.

The ultimate questions is this: Will I regret not trying? Will I regret not pursuing it and at least giving it a shot?

It's a resounding yes.
Do I still have doubts?
Yes.

In the next few months, I will be doing a lot of researching and planning.

 What's there to lose?

Now that I've updated the Oct and Nov 2015 weekend stories, I will start posting photos from my USA trip (17 Dec 2015 to 3 Jan 2016).

It was such a fun trip. I would definitely want to go back to explore other US cities.
LA, to be honest, was a bit disappointing. There wasn't much to see except for the beaches and maybe Hollywood (wasn't as glitzy as I thought it would be). We stayed near K-Town and other than the amazing Korean food we devoured, the place itself wasn't picturesque. I was told K-Town is like Seoul two decades ago and that you definitely need a local and a car. We had neither. That could be why.
Oh, but the best thing was California Donuts which was literally around the corner, 3 min walk, and it was hands-down the best donuts I've ever tasted.
A separate post for that later.

Weekend stories (W-37): Picnic at Hampstead Heath

With only a few weeks left until the end of summer, a picnic at Hampstead Heath was the perfect way to spend a sunny, 30-degree, Saturday.

(The photo scans were a bit funny, oh well)
As you can tell by the second photo, the park was packed with people.
I felt a bit sorry for these English folks having no beaches nearby to go for a dip in the ocean to cool down. I guess they had the pond? Don't think I'd want to swim in there though.

We then headed out to Shoreditch for a night out.
The night will be remembered by 'the Harry Potter scar' haha!
This resulted in an inevitable lie in on Sunday.
