I am going to Paris tomorrow for work and will be there until Saturday. I haven't been since October when my mum came to visit. Looking forward to it again! I'll have the Saturday free to roam around, take photos and, of course, eat, until I hop on the train back to London in the evening.

The week after will be the Easter break and I'm flying to Glasgow to drive around Northern Scotland for four days. We plan to go to Loch Lomand, Loch Ness, Skye, Inverness, Pitlochry, Stirling and then back to the airport. It'll definitely be a different kind of trip, one where we will be immersed in nature, away from the city grind. Ah, perfect timing.

Two weeks after Scotland, I have a trip to Lisbon and then in May, during the bank holiday, a trip to Krakow & Warclaw in Poland!

Bruges, 21-23 November 2014

To be honest, Bruges wasn't on my list of places to visit and I only went because my friend, Jenny, asked if I wanted to join her to check out the Christmas markets there. I'm glad I tagged along for the weekend! This is a small city where you can aimlessly wander around only to be captivated by its nature, charming architecture and serene canals, especially in perfect weather. It's the ideal destination for a peaceful weekend away.

I also watched 'In Bruges', starring Colin Farrell, before the trip to get a taste of Bruges (I tend to watch movies that are set in a city I am going to visit). It's a good movie, lots of black humour.

Of course, being in Belgium, we stuffed our faces with mussels, fries, waffles and chocolate... really...good...chocolate.
